Roundtable on Ending Homelessness.

On November 8th, the Northwest Michigan Coalition to End Homelessness partnered with the Traverse City Human Rights Commission to host a community roundtable event focused on ending homelessness. Attendees met at the Traverse City Governmental Center to hear from local experts all working to make homelessness rare, brief and one-time across Northwest Michigan. Guests also heard from people with lived experience of homelessness on what their experience was like, and how we can improve our systems to better meet the needs of people we serve. Presenters included: Ashley Halladay-Schmandt, Director of the Northwest Michigan Coalition to End Homelessness, Sarah Hughes, Homeless Programs Manager at the Northwest Michigan Community Action Agency, Becca Binder, Executive Director of Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing, Ryan Hannon, Community Engagement Officer for Goodwill Northern Michigan, George Golubovskis, Northern Michigan resident with lived experience of homelessness and Anna Courtade, Northern Michigan resident with lived experience of homelessness.
